The Coleman Center for Families and Children (CFFC) is typically bustling with activities designed to engage and teach children of all ages. A new program at the center will focus specifically on increasing social and emotional maturity in children.
The Petal Rotary Club will join members across the globe in promoting awareness, raising funds and offering support to end Polio, which is a vaccine-preventable disease that still threatens children in parts of the world, on World Polio Day 2017.
Red is one of the Petal School District’s school colors, but this year it means a little more in the Friendly City. Petal is encouraging everyone in the district to “Think Red,” which is the theme for the 2017-18 school year.
However, the theme will go beyond “Think Red: Prepared, Inspired, Empowered.”
Through the Mississippi Early Learning Collaborative legislation, support for a Mississippi Department of Education approved early learning collaborative could make individuals and corporations eligible for a 1:1 state tax credit for a donated amount up to $1 million.
