HATTIESBURG – Nearly one year to the week the Sacred Heart Crusaders were hit with an illness that swept through their locker room during the bye week. This season it was the week of a game, coming before last Friday’s North Forrest contest.
HATTIESBURG – Despite the loss last week to Sumrall, a lot of good things can be taken away for the Sacred Heart Crusaders, and they’ll try to use the confidence of hanging with a 4A team against this week’s opponent, North Forrest (1-2).
HATTIESBURG – A halftime adjustment by the Crusaders defensive line worked to perfection in the second half, and Sumrall quarterback Billy Garrity and head coach Shannon White acknowledged it after Friday night’s game.

It didn’t take long for junior Sacred Heart quarterback Zach Weatherell to get hot after not playing football for nearly 11 months. After going down with a shoulder injury early in 2016, he’s back slinging touchdown passes to his receivers, which has helped the Crusaders jump out to a 2-0 record.
HATTIESBURG – Sumrall coach Shannon White and Sacred Heart coach Lonny Schraeder have been friends since their college days at Southern Miss, but they’ve never played against one another until this Friday night.
