If any place was going to be a good for using wind to produce electricity, it would be Oklahoma. The famous Broadway lyric, after all, says the state is “where the wind comes sweeping down the plain.”
Broadway got that one right.
The state of Arkansas has every reason to execute eight men on death row. Namely, they all were convicted of willfully killing another person. It’s both noteworthy and sad that women were the victims in at least seven of the eight cases.
Although proponents of the death penalty can reasonably argue that those nearest to execution on Arkansas’ death row have earned the ultimate punishment, our neighboring state has gone about planning for these executions in the worst possible manner.
