LCSD gearing up for graduation festivities

Graduating seniors from the five high schools in Lamar County will have more than $18 million in scholarship money to carry with them as they advance in their education.

Graduation exercises kick off at 7 p.m. Friday when Lamar Christian School’s 17 seniors march down the aisles at Purvis First Baptist Church.

Then the three high schools in the Lamar County School District will have their ceremonies Saturday at Reed Green Coliseum on the University of Southern Mississippi campus.

Oak Grove High School’s graduation is scheduled at 10 a.m., followed by Purvis High School at 2 p.m. and Sumrall High School at 4 p.m.

Lumberton High School completes the graduation ceremonies this weekend with a 7 p.m. Sunday celebration at the high school football field.

LAMAR CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

PURVIS HIGH SCHOOL
