‘Touch a Truck’ to aid ACS
Children of all ages will have the chance to get up close and personal with vehicles of all types at a unique fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
The event, Touch a Truck, will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. June 2 and will give children the opportunity to explore vehicles necessary to city operations, such as public service, emergency, utility, construction, transportation, recreational, delivery and other interesting trucks in one place.
Personnel will be on hand to teach children about the equipment that they use and how the machines help them to better serve the Pine Belt.
Vehicles will begin parking at the Petal High School football stadium at 11 a.m. and will be in place by 1 p.m.
The entrance fee will be $5 per person over one year old. Only cash will be accepted.
Exhibitors may bring a sign to display what they do, a 10X10 popup tent with weights, chairs, tables and giveaways, if desired. There is no entry fee for exhibitors. However, donations to the American Cancer Society will be accepted.
Those who wish to display their vehicles in the event may contact Pollyanna Magee at 601-498-5882.
