Attorney: Judge rules in school board's favor in litigation

 Lamar County School Board Attorney Rick Norton told board members during their meeting last week the judge who considered the complaint against the Lumberton-Lamar County school consolidation had ruled in favor of the Lamar County School District.

Chancellor Deborah J. Gambrell rule on the complaint filed by the Pearl River County Board of Supervisors. The consolidation of the two school districts will proceed as planned on July 1, Norton said.
